He is Allah: there is no god but Him, Knower of the unseen and the seen. He is the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. He is Allah: there is no god but Him, the King, the Most Holy, the Source of Peace, the Granter of Security, the Watchful Guardian, the Almighty, the Compeller, the Supreme in Greatness. Glory be to Allah above all they associate with Him. He is Allah, the Creator, the Originator, the Fashioner. His are the most beautiful names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Him, and He is the Almighty, the All-Wise.

In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. Say: He is Allah, the One. Allah, the Self-Sufficient, on whom all depend. He does not beget, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.

So glory be to Allah when you enter the evening and when you enter the morning. To Him belongs all praise in the heavens and the earth, in the late afternoon and when you reach midday. He brings the living out of the dead and the dead out of the living, and gives life to the earth after its death; and in the same way you will be brought out.
VirtueWhoever says it in the morning makes up what he missed that day, and whoever says it in the evening makes up what he missed that night. — Sunan Abī Dāwūd 5076 (ḍaʿīf jiddan).
Allah: there is no god but Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of all. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth. Who could intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they grasp nothing of His knowledge except what He wills. His Footstool extends over the heavens and the earth, and guarding them does not tire Him. He is the Most High, the Supreme.

In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful. Ḥā Mīm. The revelation of this Book is from Allah, the Almighty, the All-Knowing, Forgiver of sin and Accepter of repentance, severe in punishment, Possessor of bounty. There is no god but Him; to Him is the final return.

VirtueWhoever says it three times in the morning will not be struck by sudden affliction before evening, and whoever says it three times in the evening will not be struck before morning. — Sunan Abī Dāwūd 5088 (ṣaḥīḥ).
O Allah, You are the most worthy of being remembered and the most worthy of being worshipped, the greatest helper of those who seek help, the kindest of all who hold dominion, the most generous of all who are asked, and the most bountiful of all who give. You are the King without partner, the One without equal. Everything will perish except Your Face. You are obeyed only by Your leave and disobeyed only with Your knowledge. You are obeyed and You show gratitude; You are disobeyed and You forgive. You are the nearest witness and the closest guardian. You stand between souls and what they intend, You hold them by their forelocks, You have recorded their deeds and set their appointed terms. Hearts lie open to You, and what is secret is plain to You. The lawful is what You made lawful, the unlawful is what You forbade, the religion is what You ordained, and the command is what You decreed. The creation is Your creation and the servant is Your servant, and You are Allah, the Most Kind, the Most Merciful. I ask You by the light of Your Face, by which the heavens and the earth shine, by every right that is Yours, and by the right of those who ask of You, to pardon me this morning and this evening, and to protect me from the Fire by Your power.
We have entered the evening, and the dominion belongs to Allah. Praise be to Allah. I seek refuge in Allah, who holds back the sky from falling onto the earth except by His leave, from the evil of what He has created, spread out and brought into being.

We have entered the evening, and the dominion belongs to Allah. Praise be to Allah. There is no god but Allah alone, without partner; His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over all things. My Lord, I ask You for the good of this night and the good of what follows it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this night and the evil of what follows it. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness and the hardship of old age. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from punishment in the Fire and punishment in the grave.
O Allah, You are my Lord; there is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant. I hold to Your covenant and Your promise as far as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your favour upon me, and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for none forgives sins but You.
VirtueWhoever says it during the day with firm conviction and dies that day before evening is among the people of Paradise; whoever says it at night with firm conviction and dies before morning is among the people of Paradise. — Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6306.
O Allah, Originator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Lord and Sovereign of all things, I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my own soul and from the evil of Satan and his call to associate partners with You, and from bringing harm upon ourselves or causing it to reach a Muslim.
O Allah, I have entered the evening calling You to witness, and calling the bearers of Your Throne, Your angels and all Your creation to witness, that You are Allah; there is no god but You alone, without partner, and that Muhammad is Your servant and Messenger.

O Allah, whatever blessing has come to me this evening, or to any of Your creation, is from You alone, without partner. To You belongs all praise and to You all thanks.

O Allah, grant me well-being in my body. O Allah, grant me well-being in my hearing. O Allah, grant me well-being in my sight. There is no god but You. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disbelief and poverty. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. There is no god but You.
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief; I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness; I seek refuge in You from cowardice and miserliness; and I seek refuge in You from being overcome by debt and overpowered by men.
VirtueThe Prophet ﷺ taught these words to Abū Umāmah, who was burdened by worry and debt; he said them morning and evening, and Allah removed his worry and settled his debt. — Sunan Abī Dāwūd 1555 (ḍaʿīf).
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from laziness, from frailty, from the hardship of old age, from the trials of this world and from the punishment of the grave.
VirtueWhoever says it seven times in the morning and evening, Allah will suffice him in whatever concerns him of this world and the Hereafter. — Ḥiṣn al-Muslim 83 (chain ṣaḥīḥ, via Ibn al-Sunnī); Sunan Abī Dāwūd 5081 reports it as a saying of Abū al-Dardāʾ (mawḍūʿ as a saying of the Prophet ﷺ).
O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion and my worldly life, my family and my wealth. O Allah, cover my faults and calm my fears. O Allah, guard me from before me and behind me, from my right and my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your greatness from being taken unawares from beneath me.
There is no god but Allah alone, without partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is Ever-Living and does not die, and He has power over all things.
VirtueWhoever says it in the morning has the reward of freeing a slave from the descendants of Ismāʿīl; ten good deeds are recorded for him, ten misdeeds erased, he is raised ten degrees and guarded from Satan until evening; whoever says it in the evening has the same until morning. — Sunan Abī Dāwūd 5077 (ṣaḥīḥ).

VirtueWhoever says it ten times in the morning, Allah records ten good deeds for him, forgives ten misdeeds, gives him the reward of freeing ten slaves and protects him from Satan; whoever says it ten times in the evening receives the same. — Ḥiṣn al-Muslim 92 (chain ṣaḥīḥ).
Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him, as many times as the number of His creation, as much as pleases Him, as much as the weight of His Throne, and as much as the ink of His words.
Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him. There is no power except through Allah. What Allah wills comes to be, and what He does not will does not come to be. I know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah encompasses all things in knowledge.

VirtueWhoever says it a hundred times in the morning and in the evening, no one will bring anything better on the Day of Resurrection, except someone who said the same or more. — Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2692; Sunan Abī Dāwūd 5091 (ṣaḥīḥ).

VirtueWhoever sends blessings on me ten times in the morning and ten times in the evening will receive my intercession on the Day of Resurrection. — al-Ṭabarānī; one chain jayyid (Ḥiṣn al-Muslim 98).
O Allah, I ask You for soundness in faith, faith joined with good character, success followed by true prosperity, mercy from You, well-being, and forgiveness and good pleasure from You.
