The textual and material heritage of Prophetic Medicine — a library and archive the long-term plan includes

According to the tradition, safely, within proper clinical governance — a clinic would be added only once that governance exists

The next generation of practitioners and scholars — the Academy, which teaches today, would grow into this

The tradition honestly against modern evidence, neither flattering nor betraying it — a research centre is part of the long-term plan

Cultivate
The living plants and craft the tradition depends on — gardens are part of the long-term plan

THE LONG-TERM VISION · THE CAMPUS
The Institute's long-term plan includes a physical campus. It does not exist yet; this section describes what we intend to build
Threshold, Corridors, Pathways — in stone
The plan is for a sequence of courtyards, in the manner of the great madrasas and mosque-complexes, arranged along a gentle inward progression and bound by shaded arcades
The Threshold — the Outer Court
From the street, a visitor would pass through a modest, dignified gate, marked by a public fountain offering clean water freely. The Outer Court would be where the world is set down: reception, a museum entrance, the Apothecary. Nothing would be sold under pressure there; people would be received
The Corridors — the Arcades and the Water Axis
Shaded arcades and a central water channel would lead inward: calm, legible and generous corridors that always show the way forward and the way back, with light through latticed screens and water running quietly alongside
The Pathways — the Inner Courts and the Still Centre
Deeper in would lie the committed spaces: a great library, teaching cloisters for the Academy, a clinic, a research centre and, at the heart, a garden and a prayer hall. Access would deepen with relationship: a passing visitor would see the garden; a student would study in the cloisters; a scholar would be admitted to the archive

A garden and a prayer hall
The vision is for a walled garden at the physical and spiritual centre of the campus, in the chahār bāgh form, oriented toward the qibla, with water along its axis, a physic garden as its productive quarter and the prayer hall at its head. It would not be ornamental: it would be a working garden, a contemplative space and a teacher

On a campus, the plan would add a dispensary and the facilities needed to check every preparation

On a campus, the plan would add teaching cloisters, practical teaching rooms and seminar halls

Educational journeys, with preparation before departure, are in development and not offered at present
WHAT WE AIM FOR
Not the largest, nor the most expensive
Measured on the Integrity Ledger, the Institute aims to be four things:
- Trustworthy — holding the tradition to the highest standard of sourcing, honesty and isnād it can
- Beautiful — fine knowledge deserves a fine setting, because beauty is a form of respect
- Humane — every person received as a guest and left more settled than they arrived
- Enduring — built and governed to last beyond its founders
