The Prophet ﷺ sought refuge both from being oppressed and from oppressing others. It keeps your own heart safe while you carry what was done to you
اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّيْ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْفَقْرِ ، وَالْقِلَّةِ ، وَالذِّلَّةِ ، وَأَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ أَنْ أَظْلِمَ أَوْ أُظْلَمَ.
O Allah, I seek Your protection from poverty, scarcity, humiliation; and I seek Your protection from oppressing or being oppressed.
