Said by a small band of believers under Ṭālūt as they faced a far larger army. They did not ask for the wait to end. They asked for patience to be poured over them and for their steps to stay firm
رَبَّنَآ أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَّثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكٰـفِرِيْنَ.
Our Lord, pour upon us patience, make our steps firm and grant us victory over the disbelieving people.
