Betydning

• In the Sunnah, desert travel is treated as discipline rather than scenery. It teaches reliance, restraint, and purposeful movement.
• This journey is a structured walking retreat with educational sessions. Participants live simply, walk daily, and study fiqh and adab of travel with experienced scholars.
• Difficulty is stated in plain terms. Heat, distance, and limited comfort are part of the programme and should be considered before applying.

Tilsigtede deltagere

• Experienced walkers aged twenty-one and above with prior retreat or camping experience.
• Graduates of Foundations or equivalent study; Hijama or Materia Medica graduates are welcome.
• Travellers medically cleared for heat exposure and consecutive walking days of up to four hours.

Forpligtelser

• Complete the physical preparation programme issued at registration (minimum eight weeks).
• Accept basic camp conditions, including shared tents, limited washing, and early rest.
• Follow guide decisions on route and pace; safety decisions take precedence.
• Remain with the group at all times unless instructed otherwise.
